Évora historical center

From the Roman Temple, passing by the Cathedral (Sé), Giraldo Square and ending at S. Francisco church we will walk through this UNESCO World heritage site where tradition, history and landmarks merge together.

Chapel of Bones

The chapel is decorated with the bones and skulls of over 5,000 people, which were exhumed from cemeteries in the city in the 17th century. The bones were used to decorate the walls and pillars of the chapel as a reminder of the fragility of human life.
